range-screenshotContext
Toptracer screenshot from the transfer block (20 balls, driver, normal full tee shots) of today's session s-2026-09-27. First driver numbers ever logged. User's own read: 'decently consistent but all a bit short and curving heavy right.'
Observations
- Sequencing / Over-the-topA big, consistent right curve across all 4 rows (108-149ft of curve, 27-77yd final offline right, all in the same direction) on the club with the most club speed and longest swing arc is the textbook place for an over-the-top move to show up hardest -- an outside-in path with the face left open relative to it produces exactly this shape. This is a more direct, current-full-speed signal on the actual fault than the earlier iron drill blocks could give.
- Distance / Ball Speed ConsistencyBall speed was genuinely high (143-155mph, average 150) -- matches the 'fast, powerful swing ahead of its consistency' baseline -- but carry (avg 177yd) badly underperforms that speed. Heavy slice spin from the same path issue is almost certainly what's eating the distance, not a lack of power. First driver baseline established.
Verdict
This is the clearest single piece of evidence today: two blocks of sequencing/contact drill work on irons didn't erase the pattern once the driver and full speed came back into it -- the ball flight (big, one-directional right curve) matches the over-the-top diagnosis directly, and it's very likely the same root cause as the toe/top misses at Ramsdale and the short/right pattern here: an outside-in downswing path. Worth naming this specifically to Adrian next lesson as evidence the drills are helping the feel in isolation but haven't yet transferred to full-speed driver swings.
